Freezer Spaghetti Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 lb lean Italian sausage
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 1 T minced garlic or 2 cloves
  • 2 15 oz cans diced tomatoes
  • 1 28 oz can crushed tomatoes
  • 1 6 oz can tomato paste
  • 2 T sugar
  • 2 T dried parsley or 1/4 cup fresh chopped
  • 1 T basil
  • 1 T oregano
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions

  1. Add ground beef, Italian sausage, onion and garlic to skillet and cook until brown.
  2. Add meat mixture to slow cooker.
  3. Add all other ingredients to slow cooker.
  4. Cook in slow cooker 2 – 3 hours, stirring periodically.
  5. After sauce cools, dip into gallon size storage bags. Keep in freezer up to 3 months.
  6. ENJOY!
