
Freezer Spaghetti Sauce
Ingredients
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1 lb lean Italian sausage
- 1 chopped onion
- 1 T minced garlic or 2 cloves
- 2 15 oz cans diced tomatoes
- 1 28 oz can crushed tomatoes
- 1 6 oz can tomato paste
- 2 T sugar
- 2 T dried parsley or 1/4 cup fresh chopped
- 1 T basil
- 1 T oregano
- salt and pepper to taste
Directions
- Add ground beef, Italian sausage, onion and garlic to skillet and cook until brown.
- Add meat mixture to slow cooker.
- Add all other ingredients to slow cooker.
- Cook in slow cooker 2 – 3 hours, stirring periodically.
- After sauce cools, dip into gallon size storage bags. Keep in freezer up to 3 months.
