Ingredients

  • 2 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups finely shredded cheddar cheese, save 1/2 cup to roll the cheeseball in
  • 4 green onions, chopped, including the greens
  • 1/2 cup chopped bell pepper (save the stem to use later)
  • 1/2 cup chopped, cooked bacon (can use packaged bacon)
  • 1 tsp onion salt
  • 1 tsp garlic salt
  • salt, pepper to taste
  • 1 8 oz sour cream
  • Crackers, vegetables, bread for serving

Directions

  1. Add all ingredients to a mixing bowl, except the crackers, vegetables and/or bread that is used for serving.
  2. Mix ingredients together until mixed well (You may have to use hands to get combined well.)
  3. After all ingredients are combined, shape into a ball.
  4. Pour the left over shredded cheese onto plastic wrap and roll the cheeseball in it coating all over.
  5. Once you’re happy with the shape, wrap the cheese ball in plastic wrap. Cut a long piece of string and wrap the string around the cheeseball 4 times tightly so that it will make indentions in the cheeseball, making it look like a pumpkin. Refrigerate for at least 2 – 4 hours, or until firm.
  6. When you are ready to serve, remove string and plastic wrap and place on serving plate. Remember that stem you saved from the bell pepper? Place it on top to mimic your pumpkin stem. Place crackers, veggies or bread around your pumpkin and you are ready to serve.
  7. Other things you could mix into your cheeseball – olives, artichokes, jalapenos, garlic, parmesan, spinach, pimento
  8. Serve and enjoy.
