Marry Me Chicken

Ingredients

  • 2 T Olive Oil
  • 3-4 Medium Chicken Breasts (boneless)
  • 1/2 Cup Chicken Stock/Broth
  • 1 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Pepper
  • 3 Cloves Garlic (Minced)
  • 1 Cup Heavy Cream
  • 1 tsp Chicken Better than Boullion or 1 Chicken Boullion Cube
  • 1/2 Cup Grated Parmesan Cheese
  • 7 oz Jar Sun-Dried tomatoes (drained/chopped)
  • Red Pepper Flakes (if desired – to taste)
  • Dried Basil (Sprinkled on top to serve – Optional)

Directions

  1. In large skillet, heat olive oil. Add chicken breasts which have been salted & peppered on both sides.
  2. Cook until lightly browned on both sides (approx. 5 minutes per side).
  3. Remove from oil and drain on paper towels. Add garlic to oil and chicken juices.
  4. Cook about a minute then add your heavy cream, chicken stock, bouillon, cheese, sun dried
  5. tomatoes, Italian seasoning and crushed red pepper flakes.
  6. Mix well and heat up, then add back your chicken.
  7. Bring almost to a boil (being careful not to scorch the cream base), then lower to a simmer.
  8. Cover and simmer about 15 minutes.
  9. Serve over pasta or creamed potatoes and top with basil flakes and the other 1/4 cup of parmesan cheese.
  10. Enjoy!

    Your recipe says add chicken stock but not how much, and just checking is the bouillon chicken bouillon,it was not listed on your recipe. Looking forward to making it

      Thank you Virginia. Yes, that was an oversight on our part. I’ll go back and correct the recipe to say 1/2 cup Chicken Stock and I’ll specify chicken Better than Bouillon. Let us know if you make it. It’s one of our favorites, especially when your taste buds are craving some Italian food! ๐Ÿ™‚
